Umu and Lovo are the same as Hangi. They cook the food underground. They wrap it up and ground and put hot stones in to cook the food.

One of my favourite foods is fried chicken from my culture because it is just such a good taste.

They all come together Whether it’s a wedding, a funeral, or a village festival, people come together to prepare large meals.

Kokoda is made of a dish of raw fish marinated in lime juice and coconut cream.

Why do people cook lots of food at big events?
They cook lots of food for everyone to come together. Cooking is often done by the whole community, and There is always enough for everyone, even unexpected guests!

I learned different vegetables that I have never heard of before and I have never seen before, such as Taro, breadfruit, bananas, coconuts, and yams.

They all come together and try lots of different foods that people have spent their own time to cook.
9.What happens when people eat less traditional food?
That won’t know what it will taste like and if they did try it they will know if they like it or not.
10.Would you like to try food from the Pacific Islands? Why or why not?
I would like to know what those different foods taste like so then if I do like it then next time I see it I will know that it will taste good but if I don’t try it then I will never know if I would like it or not.
